STEEL STRUCTURE ERECTION CEREMONY OF NGHI SON 2 THERMAL POWER PLANT PROJECT

In the morning of February 27th, The ceremony for Erection of 1st Boiler Steel Structure of Nghi Son 2 BOT Thermal Power Plant Project was held in Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa. Before that, the piling work was completed for one month earlier than the schedule.
Participating in the ceremony were the representatives of Doosan EPC Contractor and Lilama as well as the leaders of Lilama 18 Joint Stock Company and other related companies.
In this project, Lilama 18 is responsible for erection of steel structure of boiler with capacity of 600MW. Estimated construction time is about 22 months. This is the third supercritical boiler erected by Lilama 18. Previously, Lilama 18 had successfully erected this type of boiler in Vinh Tan 4 Extension and Song Hau 1 projects.
Nghi Son 2 Thermal Power Plant Project has capacity of 1,200MW including two units (2x600MW). This is the first BOT project where the Government take the form of awarding the bid through an international bidding process. The investor is joint venture between Marubeni-Kepco and EPC contractor is Doosan Group.
